Lexington Clinic is happy to announce our new, enhanced patient portal and payment system.
Our new billing and patient portal system provides patients with better portal functionality. This includes continued access to online payment options, improved communication and account management tools, new check-in capability and other features to help patients connect with Lexington Clinic quickly and efficiently. In response to the suggestions of our patients, our new system statements will be more streamlined and offer better clarity. Patients may receive dual statements, one for old system balances and one for new system balances. We will work to get patient’s balances on one system and one billing statement as soon as possible.
The Lexington Clinic Business Office has anticipated questions you may have about the launch of the new, enhanced patient portal and payment system. Please review the frequently asked questions at right. For more information or questions about your account, please call (859) 258-6000.

Q. Why did I receive two statements in the same month?
A. Lexington Clinic has transitioned to a new electronic medical record and billing system on December 13, 2016. All balances prior to December 13 are in our old billing system and services as of December 13 and forward, are in our new billing system.Patients will receive an itemization of their balance from the system in which it originated. This means that patients with balances from services prior to December 13 will receive a statement from our old system as they do now.
Patients with balances for services on or after December 13 will receive a statement from our new system that will look slightly different. For a while, some patients may have balances in both systems at the same time. If this occurs, patients will receive two statements. These statements may or may not be sent out on the same monthly cycle, so a patient could receive both statements in the same week or at different times of the month. Once all balances prior to December 13 have been resolved, patients will no longer receive a statement from the older billing system.
Q. How do I make payments to each of my statements?
A. Patients will need to make payments for each system statement separately. Payments that are mailed should include the statement stub for the balance to be paid. In addition, patients can access LexingtonClinic.com/portal to submit online payments for each statement. The website provides prompts that will guide patients in making their payments for each statement separately.
Q. Can my old balance be moved to my new statement?
A. Lexington Clinic will work diligently to eliminate this dual billing process as soon as possible for all patients. Once all insurance balances are resolved, the patient has received an itemization of the balance, and has made payment arrangements for any remaining patient balances, the business office can then assist patients by moving those balances onto the new system statements. This will result in a single statement. Patients will be contacted by our staff as soon as our staff are able to initiate this action on the patient’s behalf.
