Lexington Clinic is pleased to announce the addition of three new physicians, Robert D. Sawyer, MD, Agata Toborek, MD and Timothy Atkinson, MD, as well as the addition of Olivier Gayou, PhD, as Lexington Clinic’s Chief Medical Physicist.
Dr. Sawyer completed a fellowship in cardiology and interventional cardiology at the University of Louisville as well as a residency in internal medicine at the University of Louisville. He received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. Dr. Sawyer is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, and Internal Medicine. Dr. Sawyer will join Lexington Clinic Cardiology at Lexington Clinic East.
Dr. Toborek completed an internship and residency at Washington University School of Medicine and received her medical degree from the University of Louisville. She is board-certified in pediatrics and provides pediatric services, including well-child checkups, sports physicals and visits for acute and chronic illnesses for children of all ages. Dr. Toborek will join Lexington Clinic Pediatrics at Lexington Clinic at Eagle Creek Medical Plaza.
Dr. Atkinson completed a residency in urology and an internship in general surgery at the University of Louisville and received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky. He is board-eligible in Urology and provides urologic services, including adult male and female urology, benign prostate disease, incontinence, male sexual dysfunction, stone disease, urological cancers and vasectomy to patients in Frankfort and surrounding areas. Dr. Atkinson will join Commonwealth Urology/Urologic Associates, a part of Lexington Clinic, at the Commonwealth Urology – Frankfort location.
Dr. Gayou was a postdoctoral fellow at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and earned his PhD in experimental nuclear physics from the College of William and Mary. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology in therapeutic medical physics and as Lexington Clinic’s Chief Medical Physicist, he provides services in radiation oncology physics. Dr. Gayou will join Lexington Clinic Radiation Oncology at Lexington Clinic at KentuckyOne Health Office Park.
