Beware of Fraudulent Genetic Testing Calls Claiming to Be from Lexington Clinic
We’ve recently been alerted to a scam targeting some of our patients. Individuals are receiving phone calls, often in the evening hours, from callers using spoofed Lexington Clinic caller IDs.
These callers falsely claim to be offering free genetic testing based on your health conditions and sometimes reference actual Lexington Clinic providers or specialties.
Important: Lexington Clinic will never cold-call patients to offer genetic testing services.
We do not make unsolicited offers for genetic testing based on your history, and we will never reference your provider without a documented care plan.
If you receive such a call:
- Do not provide your insurance, Medicare, or credit card information.
- Do not share any personal health details over the phone.
- Hang up and call your Lexington Clinic provider directly using the number on your statement or our website.
