Dr. Johnston is board-certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He provides services in small bowel capsule endoscopy (Pillcam); colonoscopy with biopsy, polypectomy, stricture dilation; EGD with argon plasma coagulation/ablation angiodysplasia; band ligation of varices; dilation of esophagus and pylorus; PEG placement/replacement; sclerotherapy; ERCP with sphincterotomy, stent placement, stone removal; esophageal manometry; flexible sigmoidoscopy with biopsy, dilation, polypectomy; liver disease, including autoimmune hepatitis, biliary disease, hemochromatosis, hepatitis C and hepatitis B, steatohepatitis (fatty liver), paracentesis; treatment for constipation/diarrhea, GERD, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome; peptic ulcer disease, and celiac disease testing and management. Dr. Johnston's professional interests include hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, reflux disease, biliary disease, endoscopy and ERCP.
