Lexington Clinic is notifying patients of the recovery of a laptop stolen from the Lexington Clinic Neurology Department, located in Saint Joseph Office Park, on December 7, 2011. The laptop was recently recovered and outside forensic testing concluded that the information contained on the laptop had not been accessed. The stolen laptop contained patient names, contact information and diagnoses for certain Lexington Clinic patients receiving services within the neurology department. The stolen laptop did not contain the personal financial information of Lexington Clinic patients, such as Social Security Numbers, credit card numbers or bank account numbers.

Lexington Clinic would like to thank our neighbors and everyone who participated in the investigation and recovery efforts. Lexington Clinic notified, by letter, 1,018 patients of the possible privacy breach in January. All affected patients have been sent a follow-up letter notifying them of the laptops recovery. We thank you for your patience, understanding and support of Lexington Clinic throughout this process.
