  Why does Lexington Clinic feel it is necessary to affiliate with another entity? What is the purpose?
The landscape of healthcare is changing rapidly. By combining our efforts with Central Kentucky Surgery we will be better positioned to continue providing exceptional care for our patients and to meet and exceed the challenges of a changing healthcare system. This affiliation will enable us to provide better patient care by allowing us to offer expanded locations   and services, an increased number of physicians and better continuity of care. 

 Why affiliate with Central Kentucky Surgery?    
Lexington Clinic and Central Kentucky Surgery share similar values, philosophies and goals, so we feel an association makes sense. Affiliation creates opportunities that will help us remain  competitive in patient care and technology as healthcare continues to undergo massive changes. We believe the combined forces of Central Kentucky Surgery and Lexington Clinic will result in great benefits for our patients, employees and physicians. 

Will Central Kentucky Surgery’s office locations be closing?
No. As with any affiliation, there may be some changes as we conform to one organization,but Central Kentucky Surgery is dedicated to serving patients as they have always done.

Will Central Kentucky Surgery’s office move to another location? 
We do not anticipate moving locations and plan to keep the exact same office. If we do have to shift some services, we will promptly notify patients.     

Lexington Clinic doesn’t take my insurance, will Central Kentucky Surgery still accept it?
Central Kentucky Surgery will accept only those insurances currently accepted by Lexington Clinic; however, there will be a transition period, during which time Central Kentucky Surgery’s office will work with each patient to review their out-of-network benefits and determine how to provide for their future healthcare needs.  

What will happen to Central Kentucky Surgery’s patients?   
Patients with accepted insurances will continue seeing Central Kentucky Surgery as usual.Patients whose insurance will no longer be accepted will be assisted with reviewing their out-of-network benefits and determining how we can provide for their future healthcare needs
 
As Lexington Clinic continues to affiliate with other practices, will it reconsider acceptance of Aetna health insurance?
Lexington Clinic is always willing to engage in talks with Aetna in an effort to come to a mutually beneficial agreement that allows for the provision of quality care.
